The organisers of the Moving & Handling People conferences – the Disabled Living Foundation – are delighted to announce an exciting new event for 2016: Moving & Handling People North.

Designed to appeal to delegates from central and northern England and Scotland, the new conference will take place co-located with DNEX a leading regional disability exhibition run by Disability North. Following the trusted formula of two packed days of CPD-accredited learning, the conference will include four seminars, four practical hands-on workshops and a range of plenary sessions including an open forum Q&A.

Designed to provide a one stop shop for moving and handling professionals it will appeal to novices and experiences professionals alike and delegates will be able to easily visit the DNEX exhibition located alongside the conference.

The CEO of Disability North Dianne Cowan comments: “Disability North are delighted be sharing the location of DNEX 2016 at Newcastle Racecourse with the Disabled Living Foundation’s Moving and Handling North. We believe the co-location of these two established independent living events, concurrently taking place at the same venue, is both exciting step forward and also a valuable contribution to the quality of life for disabled people and healthcare professionals in the region. It is fantastic to be undertaking this initiative with the Disabled Living Foundation an organisation which shares the same ethos and values as Disability North.”
